Circa 1920’s French Social Realist spelter bronze figural lamp in the form of a Glass blower working in front of a furnace actively blowing molten glass into a form. The top of the furnace is covered with red glass “hot coals” that are illuminated from below and the firebox beneath has a “flicker” bulb so it has the illusion of flickering flames. Marked on front with brass name plate “Souffleur de Verre par Rousseau (sculp). Marked on back with inset French foundry coin. Measures 8.5in wide x 6in deep x 18in tall. Condition: Fully functional completely rewired with new sockets, cord, plug and switch. Scattered light wear to bronze finish.
