Vintage Abstract Surrealist Floating Biomorphic Shape over Gray and Black Painting

Features a floating organic shape, some theorized it’s an organ, some say it’s a cephalopod, some thick its a floating bunched up ball of fabric. It floats over a field of gray and black. Oil painting on thick wood plank. Can be hung in any orientation. Has the piece been professionally reframed, and the frame did some creative things with floating the plank on a gray mat, and then cutting a vintage carved frame and painting it black to give the piece a new level of depth and drama.
