Unique hand carved sculptured, attributed to a Haitian artist. Made out of what seems to be walnut or mahogany, compositing a surreal image of a woman with human legs turning into a crane or long necked bird in different intervals. Signed on base F. Weche. Measures 34in tall x 10in wide x 5in deep. Good vintage condition, appears there was an arm like appendage not cut from the same piece of wood that was adhered on with a dark colored wood glue of some sort, so there are some odd gaps and seams. Not sure if this was done originally by the artist or some later repair but is stable and shows well.
